Biography

I grew up in Sun Valley, Idaho, watching my mom build a successful creative business. She showed me that making a living as an artist was possible, and she encouraged every creative path I wanted to explore.

I’ve always been an artist at heart. As a kid, I loved theater and dance, eventually studying ballet and modern dance in college. That’s also where I discovered metalsmithing. I went on to spend more than a decade as a bench jeweler before starting my own handmade jewelry business.

When health issues forced me to step away from that business, I wasn’t sure what was next. Then, during the pandemic, while my young daughter napped, I picked up stained glass as a creative outlet. I’m completely self taught, and what started as a hobby in early 2022 quickly grew into something bigger.

Today, Brightfire Artworks is my full-time studio, where I create colorful stained glass art inspired by a lifetime of making things by hand. Every piece reflects the creativity, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial spirit that have shaped my journey from the very beginning.
